The goods you buy, represent who you are

We had a guest lecturer for cultural analysis today. Dr Tim Bunnell.

Well Dr Bunnell was lecturing on how cultural arena was link to the economic world. He touched on how culture was seen in consumption and production. And there was this slide where he explained how capitalist goods we buy represent who we are. Examples given where like how rich executives would buy BMWs to show their wealth.

Well in my not-so-great mind... came a thought... which I believe is how some would view me now.

"Honda Airwave equals thief"

Dammit... I hope we get out of this soon.

For the better of everyone

I am sick, yar so I have to stay away from everyone. No, I am not emo and withdrawing, I am really sick. Like Old man, smoker cough sick.

I think I have been wronged. I didn't do anything wrong. I did it for the better of everyone. Have you felt that way before? Worst is when some idiot thinks you are wrong. Blardee chao sian.

Why do people like to complain? Maybe they got nothing better to do. Arse. I am sorry I am cursing. Got into some uneasy spot.

We are right, but because we are deemed to be wrong by officials, we are wrong. Why do people prosecute others when they themselves are not innocent of similar acts in their youths? Why can't they see that we are innocent and we did it for the better of everyone?

But I have a feeling that everything is going to be fine. And at least I have the backing of those I call friends. Friends are still the best bet around. Thanks for taking the bullet together and thinking for me.

I almost fell again...

I almost fell again. In many ways, it was kind of sweet. I never felt so easy and comfortable in awhile.

Yet, I admit it was kind of shocking to discover that I almost fell... cos, I would never imagine I almost did. Lets wait and see if its really reality or whether it was a moment of memory. But at least I know, its a sweet one.

Dinner with you guys, once again.

Fishhead beehoon with XO sauce and dishes for a table of 12 would cost you 134. But I don't mind the price as long as the company is right.

I really felt at home with you peeps around. Yes, I was gone for a while but I am back. Thanks for waiting. Especially to demanding girl, beefcakes, charz, ivy and nana. I really feel happy that you guys constantly make the effort to ask me out.

Yet, I am not fully ready for the entire truth and reality, I still need a bit of time. Not that you guys are not giving and understanding, just that I do not wish to disappoint you guys in any way. So yars, lets just keep things the way they are at the moment. Thank you for not giving up. Today I certainly felt that I did lose out on times together but then, I also felt I never left. Maybe credit goes to you guys, for being so accepting.

However, I want to complain... can the girls stop being obsess about their breast? haha. And why no group photo? Bleah!

"I had class with you guys, swam with my 'suck cock' buddy,
went dinner with friends, talked to a friend about matters of the heart.
This is what NUS is to me.
So if you want your grades and your certificates, please think again.
You can get a condo or a car, a great career and a fortune worth billions.
But your never going to make me think, that my friends ain't number one."

Back in class... blogging once more

This post is to remind the owner of the blog, he has to blog soon. haha

Anyway my lecturer is killing me, he is squezzing what people, learn in months, at Secondary school or Junior college into 3 hours.

Luckily, we don't have to make notes or pay attention...
The wonders of a non examinable class with field work carrying most of the examination criteria. Haha

Post number 101 - dedicated to you

I known you quite a while? Maybe six months and a few days? But we grown to be good friends. Yar, I believe so.

Well I know I have let you down recently, I think no reason on my side will justify the misunderstanding. Yet, I want you to know, I will always be here as a friend.

I can't blog much because I don't know how to help or say to make you feel better. So I decided to use a song instead. The song might be unsuitable to some but I feel it makes me happy. Hey, the title sounds like you lor.

I really hope you're feeling better. Don't worry, I guess a lot of us are waiting for you to be better, and please, we are always here.

Bubbly - Colbie Caillat

I've been awake for a while now
You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face
I get the tingles in a silly place

And it starts in my toes
And I crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

The rain is falling on my window pane
But we are hiding in a safer place
Under covers staying dry and warm
[Another version of the song says: "Under covers staying safe and warm"]
You give me feelings that I adore

And it starts in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

What am I gonna say
When you make me feel this way
I just mmmmm

And they start in my toes
Makes me crinkle my nose
Wherever it goes
I always know
That you make me smile
Please stay for a while now
Just take your time
Wherever you go

I've been asleep for a while now
You tuck me in just like a child now
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth

And it starts in my soul
And I lose all control
When you kiss my nose
The feeling shows
'cause you make me smile baby
Just take your time now
Holdin' me tight

Wherever wherever wherever you go
Wherever wherever wherever you go

wherever you go
I always know
'Cause you make me smile
Even just for a while

Post 100 - Ultra Belated Happy New Year

Late again.

Doesn't seem like a great way to start the new year. I guess this blog post should be the 'official start' to the new academic year, tomorrow is the first day of the last semester of NUS. Well, I ain't going to go for day one of lessons... why? cause I am down with the cold and a sore throat. Another bad sign to the start of the new year...

Okie on a more positive note. This holiday was absolutely amazing. The amount of friends and outings I had probably topped the previous year holidays... perhaps everyone was trying to catch up before we had to start dreading work and our career. I shall try to post more about it... do you realize I tend to blog less if I have so much happening around me... ironically, I should blog more when I have more stuff to write about... but then thats not happening.

Blog Post Number 100 is dedicated to the ... Gabrielites (also the reason for some delay cause i had to ask my friend for a file transfer to post the picture)

Virtue and Truth

If I had chance to 'relive' a period of my life, it would most likely be the period in Saint Gabriels. I think it can be generally agreeable that a Singaporean's life is probably molded during their Secondary school years. Who you are, what character you will be, the music you will learn to adore, the movies and books you will learn to enjoy... all these seem to be constructed during the Secondary School period. I am never ashamed of who I am or Saint Gabriels or any Gabrielite... cause that is where I belong and that is where I learn to become myself. On my 100th blog post, I wanna dedicate it to the Gabrielites; who have accepted me, the way I am.
